Cold Spring Tavern continues the tradition of great music that fuels the room's eternal soul. Many of the players on this brand new compilation CD "The Best Of Cold Spring Tavern" (Volume 2 just released on November 5, 2005) have been building this tradition by playing Cold Spring tavern for over 30 Years. John Gates and Bill Goodell
Singer/Songwriter duo Gates and Goodell play their original acoustic songs in a style they call "West Coast Folk Rock" they perform live in pubs restaurants and coffee houses all around Ventura, Santa Barbara and areas of the California coast. Gates and Goodell met at a Jimmy Messina songwriter workshop in 2002 both had been writing and performing for years and upon meeting they discovered that there styles and tastes were complimentary to each other. Coolest Guy in Santa Barbara
Vince Chafin is a good friend of mine who plays the Native American Indian flute. He is also a great Bass player and Singer/Songwriter. He really is the "Coolest Guy" in town!

Jeff Bish is a great singer/songwriter with a knack for the blues and also a fantastic harmonica player. Shortly after moving to Santa Barbara California, Jeff attended a local songwriting work shop where he met Kate Bennett (a Troika sister) and married her. Kathrin began crafting a sound she now calls "soulfolk" Kathrin won second place at the Rocky Mountain Folk Festival in Colorado and she is also this years finalist for the Kerrville Folk Festival's New Folk Competition to take place in May of "05" I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with her at several of the Soho shows and she is truly delightful.
