String of Pearls
(Cinder Jean)
2005-04-13
A string of pearls I have strung
I found them all one by one.
I've picked them up along life's way and each one's so different
I must say.
I wear them proudly around my neck just like the finest
jewelry I've had yet.
And when I think my treasures are none, I take a look around
at all the friends I've found.
I found them all one by one by one
the finest string of pearls I have strung.
And life is good here again,
cause I'm surrounded by a circle of friends.
Now this world can be a pretty sad place to live
when you've got nothing inside your
heart to give.
And how I've searched to fill and empty place inside
but you know they're somethings money just can't buy.
Friends come to few enough
and I've found them all like diamonds in the rough.
When I think my treasures are none I take a look around
at all the friends
I've found.
I found them all one by one by one the finest string of pearls
I have strung.
And life is good here again
cause I'm surrounded by a
circle of friends
a circle of friends.
Now people come and people go and through this life I've learned to stop and say hello.
But will the circle ever be complete because they're
still so many friends I've yet to meet.
And when the day comes that I leave this earth,
All the friends I've known
have made my life worth oh yea,
One by one by one, the finest string of pearls I have strung.
And life is good here again, cause I'm surrounded by a circle of friends
a circle of friends
a circle of friends
my life is good again with the finest
circle of friends.
